Ingrid Sawers, ‘pianist, chamber musician and accompanist’ accompanied Rosenethe Singers at the UK premiere of ‘Kontakion for Bornholm’ (Duggan), November 2017. We are delighted that she is joining us again for Puccini and Rossini, 12th May.

Based in Edinburgh, Ingrid has performed throughout the UK, in Ireland, Canada, Austria, Malta, Italy and Denmark. Her recordings include works with the ensemble One Voice, music by Andrew Keeling, and two CDs of music for saxophone and piano released on Delphian Records.

​

Her longstanding commitment to new music has resulted in premieres of pieces by many composers including Judith Bingham, Thomas Adès, Graham Fitkin, Martin Butler and Richard Causton.

Ingrid has performed live on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Scotland, and on BBC Arts channel as part of the Edinburgh International Festival. In addition, she travels worldwide as an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, has a thriving practice as a teacher and coach, is a vocal coach at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has given masterclasses and workshops at UK universities.
